Free for Veterans (formerly the Veterans Dinner)
South Torch Lake Fire Department is partnering with the Alden Firefighters Association, and donations from generous private donors in the community, to host a Free Community meal for people of the Alden community and for local veterans and their families.
The meal formerly known as the Veteran’s Dinner is returning in October 2024 and will run from Labor Day to Memorial Day. It will be held at the South Torch Lake Fire Station in Alden on the last Wednesday of the month from 5-7pm. (It will be on the 3rd Wednesday in December because of Christmas.) Come and join us!
Members of the Alden community are by donation (whatever you think is fair) with proceeds going to local charities, and Veterans are free.
